The group was on a pilgrimage to Mount Kailash, one of the most revered sites in Tibetan Buddhism, with last contact near the Nepal Tibet checkpoint on August 26.
The tour group, organized by Fishtail Tours & Travels, had arrived in Nepal on August 23 and was scheduled to continue its journey until September 5.
