As I navigated the sprawling Berlin Messe, dodging delegates and stands selling dubious coffee, my Garmin Cirqa fitness tracker proved to be a capable companion. Its screen-free design was a notable aspect of its debut at IFA 2026, but its performance left me wondering: are we settling for good enough?

The device’s numbers spoke for themselves: nearly 18,000 steps on the first day, with an average heart rate hovering around 111 bpm. Not bad, considering I was still trying to shake off jet lag. However, what struck me as peculiar was the Garmin Cirqa’s inconsistent data – particularly when commuting via public transit.
